DRAFT metered probe. A paid probe endpoint (HTTP 402 with an x402-style JSON body, price_per_call_usd 0.005) is designed for cron-self-heal and gateway-pulse. Design requirements before any deployment: authentication, rate limiting, abuse prevention, refund handling, customer disclosure terms. None of that exists today; the endpoint is not deployed; zero paid calls have ever occurred. It is a thesis about agent-to-agent payments, not a revenue line.
